Fast Way To See If Your Facebook Is Safe

Many people have heard about the recent security issues that the owners of Facebook have been fighting. They have continued to attempt to lock down their users information and a few months ago had made every-bodies information temporarily publicly available.  This was a security nightmare and the issue has been corrected in a timely fashion.  However, since then there have been some very confusing personal security settings added that many Facebook users are still not sure about and in most cases are very confused about.

If you are not sure if your updates are being protected or not, here is a great way to find out without looking through pages of security settings.  The web site is called "Your Open Book" and using this free online service you can scan all public statuses on the Facebook site.

Check it out now - Open Book

There is no reason to go on simply not knowing if you are secured or not when you are sharing private information on the Facebook site.  You can search for you name or search for something that you have recently posted a status update about and then you can see if it shows on these public steams within seconds.  Have fun looking on this site, but we want to warn those that may be easily offended there are no filters on these results, so you may find some offensive material here.
