Hot New Concept Cars For 2010

There are many great concept cars of 2010 coming our way very soon. A concept car is a resource for designing automobiles which is dedicated towards development and design of automobiles, industrial design and product designs. One of the most recent concept cars is the Volkswagen 1 liter car which can seat two people and is a diesel hybrid. It was designed in such a way so that it served the dual purpose of being practical as well as road worthy. Apart from this it has the superb capability of being able to travel very long distance like 100 km with the help of only 1 liter of diesel. It is a great fuel saving automobile and will be very useful in the long run and in future where we are likely to face shortage of fuel. Its fuel consumption according to the international system of units is 1 US gallon of fuel for 235 miles or 282 mpg Imperial.

The concept used behind this achievement is that the material used for making this car is very light weighted and the car has a streamlined body structure and the transmission and engine of the car has been designed to be very economic. This concept car was designed in the year 2009 and this limited edition car is expected to be in market in the beginning of 2010. Its prototype was first put on display in the year 2002 and this car has an excellent speed of 100mph or 161 Km per hour. However at such a high speed its fuel consumption goes from 1L per 100 km to 1.36 l per 100 km. this is still very less as compared to the fuel consumption by car fleet of Australia which consumes 11.5 L of fuel per 100 km.

Other features of the car which makes it such a great discovery is that its two seats are positioned in a tandem manner and are not present side by side. Also it has electronic displays and cameras instead of mirrors. Its rear wheels are positioned very close to each other to make the body of the car streamlined.

Some examples of 2010 concept cars are are coming from about every automotive maker out there, these include: Hyundai , Ford, Nissan, Lexus and many more. It has very small frontal area and drag coefficient to minimize its aerodynamic drag which is 0.159 instead of the general 0.30 .

We all knew that the big iPhone 4 release was coming today. Steve Jobs did his thing on stage and only ran into a few snags with connecting to the internet and other great laughable offenses. However, what about the other releases that many have anticipated to come along with this huge press release.  Well, we didn't see any news about the iPhone being made available from other vendors like Verizon and have heard nothing else about the Apple smart touch pad. These are just a couple of the stories that many tech sites have been spreading rumors about that simply did not come to pass.  Tech Bloq did not get down on these rumors and boy we are glad we did not.  There are many other Engadget fluff stories that died today as the press conference came to an end. There were many disappointments, but the release of the new iPhone was not one of them. We also noticed that now there is a mysterious iPhone 3GS that is only 8 GB showing up on Apples site today too, very interesting.  Of course when you go to AT&T they only offer the iPhone 3GS in 16GB and 32GB, but we never heard where this came from and probably never will?

Firefox Mobile has been making some waves in the technology world.  Since it is not the first, but by far the most popular mobile browser platform to hit the market others will be sure to follow.  This is an exciting time for those who love their smartphones.  App developers are going bonkers trying to take their share of what will be the dominant market in only a few years to come.  There will be many more new options coming soon surely both Google Chrome and Microsoft Internet Explorer will be on board soon.

Well actually it has been here for some time, most people have simply never heard of it yet. Google To Release Their Own Operating System - Chrome OS

The Google Chrome OS project started about a year ago.  This project was only an extension to the existing Google Chrome Browser initially and then they started adding and adding, until they thought that it would be a good idea to go ahead and try to make a full blown OS.   This concept has been driven by open source developers from all over the world and will be sure to be a huge success when the finished product is ready for market.

The process of taking this new operating system from concept to reality has not been a very fast process, but there are so many changes coming around in the web dev world that Google does most likely have bigger fish to fry.  As net-book sales skyrocket, we would not be surprised to see net-books shipping with the Google Chrome OS as early as next year.

If you want to download the Google Chrome OS Beta, it is already available, but at this point there is not a lot to see.  You can go ahead and give it a spin if you want and see what you think of the Next Big Operating System from Google today!

New Tech Bloq Technology Source Slideshow!

http://TechBloq.com is still pretty new and we are just starting to launch our site promotions.  We always think that the other sites that start blasting information about their site before they have a solid grounds to build a site on are simply rediculous.  Now that TechBloq has started to make name for themselves, we thought that the next logical step would be to let a few more people on the internet know what is going on on the new technology source, TechBloq!

Server 2008 Goes Green and Again in 2010

Microsoft has been making an attempt to make a more power efficient servers software.  The ability to shut down processes that are not being used and in essence use less CPU power when there is not reason for it, has led to some rather serious energy savings.  Actually Microsoft claims that if you configure their Windows 2008 server correctly it can give you a savings of up to 25% in power consumption!

Sony Announces 3-D Blueray Player

Sony has just announced the release of its new blue-ray player that allows its owner to play 3-D HD releases.  This 3-D technology has become very popular in recent movies and now you can bring this technology home and into your living room using Sony's new blue-ray player.  There are a few other companies who are offering similar products that will be available very soon including Panasonic and Samsung.

iPhone Jail Breaking and iPhone OS 4 (Video)

The iPhone is one of the most popular cell phones of all time and there are many ways to get more out of this phone than the standard features.  One of the most controversial ways to get the most out of the iPhone and iPhone 3gs is to "jailbreak" it. This simply means hacking Apples iPhone software so you can take control of the operating system.  This allow an iPhone user to install third party software and use certain features like Internet tethering that may be locked down by the standard Apple software.

There is a crazy amount of people who have done this "jailbreak" to their iPhones. Some with more success than others.  However, even when you really mess the phone up, you can always restore it from good old iTunes.  So here is a recent story we ran across that shows off the jailbreak technique and the new Apple iPhone firmware V 4.

Although Apple has made it perfectly clear it will not enable multitasking on the iPhone 3G due to “hardware limitations” (specifically its 128MB of RAM and 400MHz processor), iPhone hacker cdevwill quickly discovered that an unbelievably simple modification of the N82AP.plist will enable multitasking on the iPhone 3G. 

Wouldn’t you know it, today a video was posted to YouTube which shows an jailbroken iPhone 3G with the modified .plist running multitasking as if it were no big deal. While it’s tempting to say Apple is simply restricting multitasking to the iPhone 3GS and up for the sake of hardware sales, it must be remembered that the APIs which actually allow for processes to run in the background are not implemented in any of the applications running in the video. 

In all likelihood, simply streaming music from Pandora while switching between playing Doodle Jump and firing off some tweets would likely bring the iPhone 3G to its knees. We mean, just look how painfully long it takes to open up the Clock application. But that’s just our take. Check out the video after the jump and let us know yours.

Apple iPad Review and First Look

I've an iPad coming in a few weeks with 3G. But I'm an Apple tech junkie. Last Saturday, I had to venture out and acquire an Easter tie - I always get a brand new tie for Easter. The keyboard in landscape is no problem whatsoever to me. Some games do landscape on one side from the device, but won't flip. And also the side they chose isn't the suitable side if you employ Apple's case. iBooks is great, but when you slide your finger across the words when reading for a 4 year old, the page flips back. All the problems are minor issues though. I love this device. I prefer its potential. I hold the future in my hands. It changes the way in which I operate and frees me up to be more flexible about how I operate. That's the great thing about the device. So if you have been asking yourself "Do You Really Want An iPad" the answer is yes!
